Environmental Stability

Light Stability

Will not fade or lose polarization on repeated or prolonged exposure to typical UV, visible or IR sources, including sunlight.  The user must evaluate light fastness to high flux-density sources.

Temperature Stability

Stable to prolonged exposure to temperatures up to 100oC (212oF).  Transients to 160oC (320oF) will not deteriorate performance.  Stability above 200oC (392oF) is not assured.

Moisture-Humidity Stability

Coated surface should not be in direct contact with water or solvents.  Normally stable to high humidity, except when accompanied by high temperatures.

Cleaning Technique

Dry compressed air may be used.  Use only dry lens-cleaning techniques.

Filters for Visible Spectrum:

105MP

105M with a strip-off protective paper mask

105ML

105M with a permanent protective lacquer overcoat.

Filter for UV and Visible Spectrum:

105UV

Neutral polarizing filter; provides continuous polarization from 210 to 760 nm.  The UV – transmissive (to 160nm) substrate is a stain-free, bubble-free fused silica (synthetic quartz), polished on both surfaces and with ground edges.  Has permanent protective lacquer overcoat.
